Lavender Syrup…

….A really nice tasting addition to your Springtime Lemonade, Summer Cocktails, etc…

Who loves LAVENDER? Well, here is a quick little recipe to make a really ‘BIG SPLASH’ with your guests this summer………

The aromatic flavor of Lavender syrup can be used in a variety of ‘fun’, creative ways. It can be used in Lemonade, Mojitos & other cocktails drinks, vanilla ice cream, vanilla cake, drizzled over sugar cookies, waffles, meringues, cheesecake, or even strawberry slices. There are a PLETHORA of ways to use homemade Lavender syrup.

Therefore, making your own personal LAVENDER SYRUP and putting it in a classy little decorative bottle with a well designed creative label would make EXCELLENT birthday, wedding, Christmas, or ‘just because’ gifts…

So, with no further adieu, lets get to this ‘easy peezeeee’ little recipe….

LAVENDER SYRUP

1 1/2 Tbsp. Lavender Flowers

1 1/2 Cups Sugar

OR

3/4 Cups Sugar & 3/4 Cups RAW Honey

1 1/2 Cup Distilled Water

Add Lavender Flowers to the Distilled water in a saucepan. Come to boil and then add your choice of SWEETENER (Either Sugar or Sugar/Honey Mix). Stir well ……………Steep for 1 hour……. Allow to cool well.

Strain flowers from mixture and pour into sanitized bottles …….Make sure it is cooled well and add your bottle tops. Don’t forget to label and display your beautiful Lavender syrup bottles.

I’ll be adding photos of my Lavender syrup process this year as the lavender is in season. I will also show you how I make my Lavender jelly. I have lots of Lavender planted out back and can’t wait to get it harvested this year.
