That Fool Doesn’t Know He’s Building My Success

by Hannah Cedars — The Appalachian Sage

Some women have to search high and low for inspiration.
Me? Mine stomps through the house wearin’ muddy work boots, muttering under his breath, and unknowingly handing me punchlines like he’s on payroll.

You see, my husband has this remarkable talent — it’s called unintentional comedy. He doesn’t tell jokes; he just lives ’em. I’ll be sittin’ quiet with my coffee, mindin’ my own business, when he’ll say or do something so downright absurd that I don’t even have to take notes. I just grin and whisper,

“Thank ya, Lord… there’s next week’s blog post.”

When he fusses, I write.
He grumbles, I giggle.
and when he plans, I publish.

Sometimes I wonder if he suspects he’s my biggest creative contributor. He’ll be out there at the barn, thinkin’ he’s conquerin’ the world one wall stud at a time — not knowin’ he’s also buildin’ me a whole series of Moral of the Story tales.

Your Success Could Be Your Misery Staring You In The Face…Recognize It

And the moral of this story?

When life hands you a grumbler, hand him a starring role.

Because laughter’s still the best kind of rebellion — and I reckon I’ll keep on smilin’, typin’, and thankin’ my muse in work boots for the endless inspiration.
